Kiekkumaralla \u2013 Folk Songs for Children CD and book made the group popular at Finnish homes with children, and the repertoire has also been featured in the popular daily children\u2019s television program Pikku Kakkonen. The group has performed in many children\u2019s music albums, for instance Piilomets\u00e4n S\u00e4veli\u00e4 and Piilomets\u00e4n Portti, which was chosen as the best children\u2019s music album in Finland in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hungarian composer Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly found his unique voice through tireless efforts of collecting folk music form the Balkans. His grand work Duo for Violin and Cello finds home in the repertoire of the finest players of those instruments. Frequent performers in the world\u2019s greatest concert halls, violinist Anna-Liisa Bezrodny<\/strong> and cellist Jan-Erik Gustafsson<\/strong> are natural performers of Kod\u00e1ly\u2019s grand work, and in addition they offer a rendering of H\u00e4ndel\u2019s Passacaglia, which was made popular in the catchy arrangement by Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen. Paavali Jumppanen<\/strong> joins the celebrated string players in a rare potpourri of beloved tunes by J.S. Bach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
